Who We Are & What We Do

SLAIS was established as a non-profit organization on 6th November 1993 in Sundbyberg, Stockholm County by a group of Sri Lankans to support the Sri Lankan community in Sweden. Over the years, SLAIS has organized cultural events and worked to preserve Sri Lankan heritage while fostering integration within Swedish society. SLAIS has grown into a key organization, connecting and supporting Sri Lankans across Sweden.

Mission

The Sri Lankan Association in Sweden (SLAIS) is dedicated to uniting and supporting Sri Lankans in Sweden. Our mission is to preserve Sri Lankan culture, assist newcomers with guidance and resources, organize community events, and foster integration while maintaining our heritage.

Vision

The Sri Lankan Association in Sweden (SLAIS) envisions a united and thriving Sri Lankan community. We aim to create a home away from home, celebrate our culture, support newcomers, and strengthen community bonds. By fostering integration while preserving our heritage, SLAIS helps Sri Lankans in Sweden thrive and contribute to society.
